Abstract

This article presents the results of practical application of experiments with elements of robotics in physics lessons at school in order to investigate and solve the problem of increasing schoolchildren's motivation for learning and forming their cognitive interest in physics. The purpose of the study is to approbation of the experience of using experimental works with the use of LEGO Mindstorms EV3 in physics lessons at school to increase motivation and cognitive interest of students in physics. The article presents a review of scientific and pedagogical literature on the problem of increasing motivation and cognitive interest of students in physics. The results of the study show that the organization of educational physics experiment with the use of LEGO Mindstorms EV3 allows turning abstract concepts of physics into concrete, visual examples, which can contribute to a deeper understanding of the material by students. Based on the empirical results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of physics experiment using LEGO Mindstorms EV3 can be an excellent tool to increase students' learning motivation and cognitive interest. It helps to develop their skills, realize creative thinking and increase their interest in science and technology. This article can be useful for teachers of physics, computer science, pedagogical specialists dealing with this problem.
