Abstract

The article presents the results of monitoring the implementation of the course «Global Competencies» in the curricula of grades 5-11, aimed at developing the skills of sustainable development of students. The study includes a qualitative and quantitative analysis based on questionnaires, observation of lessons and conversations conducted among 373 teachers from 17 regions and 3 cities of republican significance of Kazakhstan to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of educational programs in the educational process. The results of the study revealed both the positive aspects of the introduction of curricula that contribute to the formation of values and skills for sustainable development of students, and the difficulties of teachers in adapting curricula in the educational process. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of data has been developed and changes have been made to the curricula aimed at strengthening the practical orientation of the course, contributing to the development of practical skills for sustainable development, ensuring consistency and continuity of content between sections and classes, and matching the age characteristics of students.
