When teachers actively improve their skills and knowledge, they become more competent and confident in their work, which has a positive effect on the learning process and the achievements of students. The professional development of a teacher can include various forms of training and exchange of experience, such as participation in seminars, trainings, conferences, master classes, reading professional literature, etc. The article also presents criteria and indicators that are usually taken into account when assessing the professional growth of a teacher. The portrait of a modern teacher reflects the totality of his professional qualities, skills and values necessary for successful work in a modern educational environment. The professional growth map of a teacher describing the development of his Hard and Soft Skills skills can be a useful tool for assessing and managing the professional development of teachers.
