This article examines the psychological and pedagogical conditions of humanization of education, and also reveals the essence of value-based, personality-oriented, activity-based, competence-based, digital and STEM approaches as a scientific
and theoretical basis for the development of a new theory of learning and a modern
model of education. The new principles of selection of the content of education are
characterized. The four-element basis for determining the content of education, corresponding to the requirements of a multilevel model of the content of education, is
substantiated. The scientifically based requirements for the development of educational tasks are presented.
