The main problems of catering in educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Nutrition for pre-school and school children in Kazakhstan is realized in the form of providing hot meals, but now there are some problems in the system, which require further improvement. In this article the results of scientific research to assess the physical condition of children of school age, which reflects the prevalence of excess body weight and obesity, malnutrition. As a result of a sociological survey the levels of awareness of children and their parents about healthy eating were investigated. The authors proposed a methodology to assess the quality of nutrition organization, and also highlighted the main aspects in the field of nutrition organization in pre-school and secondary educational institutions in Kazakhstan. On the basis of the conclusions made by the authors, the substantiated solutions aimed at solving the described problems of school catering and the stages of their implementation are offered.
