Abstract. The article is devoted to the actual problem of the personality characteristics of adolescents with different propensities to Internet addiction. Various aspects of adolescent behavior and the degree of addiction to Internet addiction are revealed. The tendency to Internet addiction in adolescents differs depending on the characteristics of the emotional sphere. The results of an empirical study of the personality characteristics of adolescents prone to Internet addiction show that adolescents with high addiction are characterized by anxiety, distrust of others, indecision, self-doubt. The study used a "test questionnaire to identify dependence on computer games" by S. V. Krasnova and the Kimberly-Young test to study the level of virtual addiction. The study involved high school students aged 15 to 17 years in the number of 60 people.
