Abstract

Annotation. The article implements the application of the «Lesson study» method in the discipline of world history. A theoretical analysis of the «Lesson study» method is carried out. Lesson study is successfully applied in order to improve teaching methods and increase the level of knowledge of students in social and humanitarian disciplines, as well as the development of conceptual pedagogical approaches, such as assessment for teaching. Throughout the entire cycle of the «Lesson study», a rule was given for teachers working in groups (or pairs). The main topic of the «Lesson Study» was «How to develop students' speech activity using methods and strategies of critical thinking?». To achieve this goal, studies were selected and conducted on the subject of world history on the topics «Civilization of the Ancient World», «Traditional civilizations of Africa, America, Australia and Oceania», «World religions and the development of civilizations». According to the results of the study, an analysis was carried out and the results were summed up.
