PERCEPTION AND UNDERSTANDING OF A LITERARY TEXT-STEPS TO INTERPRETATION
Abstract
Annotation. The article deals with the problem that it is not enough for a student to simply understand the storyline in the process of reading a work of fiction, but as a reader -to critically comprehend the text. This is due to the fact that the perception and understanding of a work of art are functional tasks of teaching literature. A literary work is characterized as a nonverbal dialect and an independent communicative activity of the reader with the text and, consequently, with the author. In understanding the meaning, the importance of understanding the main author's applications that make up the content of the work is considered. Specific examples are given that lead students to conscious reading and analysis of the text. Specific techniques and examples of tasks are proposed that contribute to increasing the level of perception and understanding of a literary work by students through the disclosure of the meaning of words and expressions. The tasks give a part of the literary work related to the storyline, or objects related to the actions of the hero. In conclusion, the article concludes that meaningful reading of the text is a collision of the world of the author and the reader, a step towards each other's world.
