The article is devoted to the study of the role of metacompetencies in the professional development of teachers in the modern educational space. In the context of dynamic changes in the educational system and the introduction of new technologies, there is an increasing need for teachers to develop such competencies that help them to effectively adapt to innovative teaching methods and maintain high standards of teaching. The article discusses in detail the key components of metacompetencies, such as critical thinking, reflection, innovativeness, and the ability to self-learning and self-development, which are the basis for improving the professional level of teachers. Metacompetencies, which go beyond subject knowledge and pedagogical skills, become the key factor of subject knowledge and pedagogical skills, become the key factor of successful adaptation of teachers to rapidly changing educational realities. The paper analyzes the methods of metacompetencies development, their impact on teachers' professional growth and the quality of the educational process. The results of the study emphasize the need to integrate metacompetencies into professional development programs and offer practical recommendations for educational organizations. Based on the analysis of data and practical experience of educational organizations, the recommendations are offered.
